Life has been very busy since my last post. We finished post production on Serve It Cold and the novel is complete on Podiobooks.com. I am still trying to pull together a thanks to the cast/listener appreciation/peek behind the curtain final episode. That is going far to slowly. I’ve gotten distracted with holidays, work and family obligations. But, I do have all the outtakes lined up and the episode started. I just need to pull the music in and get a few people in studio or on Skype to talk about their contributions and what they are up to now. Piece of cake!

Well here I am again–pretty much midnight and sleepless. I keep wondering if there isn’t something that I should be doing–something I have forgotten–to help make DancingCatStudios a success and to get the word out about Ronnie’s book. I suppose I could write some more gossip bits and message tags. I’m already up by two but it’s going to be a long haul to get all the way to the last episode. Makes me wonder if we did right to split the chapters up into episodes. We have a few episodes that are pretty short right now (9 and 10).

We are on the marathon run up to Worldcon. This year it is Nippon2007 in Yokohama, Japan. We are so not ready for Japan! I am feeling pressed and a little anxious and my sleep patterns are all disturbed. So, here I am. It’s nearly midnight and I am sitting up listening to Lulu Radio to make a few notes for a post over on DancingCatStudios. Ronnie was interviewed by Jason Adams for Lulu Radio at Balticon41 during the Serve It Cold podiobook launch party.

We are so amazingly out of synch with the world that we launched a podiobook of a mystery novel at a literary Science Fiction Con. It still amazes me!

It is also incredibly good to continue to hear what a great time all the podcasters had at Balticon. Mur Lafferty and Jason spend nearly 10 minutes fulsomely detailing their convention and its pleasures in Episode 31 of Lulu Radio. Love that validation, folks! And then–what could be better?–we get to hear from Ronnie on the process of being published through Lulu and getting his book into audiobook form. Altogether a very pleasurable evening.

At last I found a way around the improper display of the left sidebar in Internet Exploder (v 6.x and 7.x) for DancingCatStudios.com. I swapped the explicit lock step of the columns for a more simple float left and float right for the two sidebars. The site appears normal under Firefox and Safari and finally it looks OK in IE. Previously some glitchy something was causing the left sidebar to begin to be displayed only after all the posts and their contents had been displayed. So the left sidebar would show up somewhere south of the bottom of the screen, and well, that wasn’t helpful since we are trying to generate some revenue with Google Ad-sense ads. I am so relieved the site is fixed.
